Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain comprehensive retail management experience in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Store Manager will assist in supervising staff, managing daily store activities, and implementing strategies to meet sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Duties



Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Support recruitment efforts by interviewing and onboarding new team members. Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate cash handling procedures. Lead merchandising efforts to optimize product displays and pricing strategies. Utilize POS systems for transactions, returns, and inventory management. Coordinate purchasing and inventory replenishment to maintain stock levels. Supervise staff performance, provide training & development opportunities, and motivate team members. Implement marketing initiatives to increase store traffic and sales. Monitor sales metrics, prepare reports, and assist with budgeting and financial planning. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high standards of store presentation. Enforce store policies, safety procedures, and compliance with company standards.

Experience



Proven supervisory or managerial experience within retail sales or store management roles. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and organizational abilities. Proficiency with merchandising, POS systems, bookkeeping, and basic math skills. Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and sales management is preferred. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and maintain organizational efficiency. Prior experience with marketing strategies, pricing adjustments, and promotional campaigns is advantageous. Pay: $29.00-$34.00 per hour
