Description

The assistant store manager is responsible for supporting the manager with daily operations by ensuring merchandising standards are met, inventory, and team management. The assistant Manager works closely with the team on providing customer confidence and loyalty, providing personalized knowledge in a warm and inviting store environment.

Responsibilities

Assist management with coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members to help drive sales while delivering exceptional customer service Support strategies and processes using a customer-centric mindset to deliver results, drive store sales and maximize efficiencies and productivity Acting as the liaison and partner between customers and sales associates Staying up-to-date with detailed knowledge on new and existing products Achieving store financial targets and implementing new or existing loss prevention procedures Working with the leadership team to deliver promotional strategies and programs

Qualifications

Proven experience as an assistant manager or similar role within the retail industry. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Prior retail or customer service experience; wine, beer, and spirit knowledge is a plus. Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating a positive shopping experiences. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and make effective decisions under pressure. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Able to lift up to 20kg (50lbs) A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
