Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This leadership position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing daily store activities and supervising staff to meet business goals. The Assistant Store Manager will contribute to creating a positive shopping environment while assisting in merchandising, inventory management, and team development.

Responsibilities



Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Supervise and motivate sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service. Manage merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory replenishment. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new staff members. Oversee payroll processing, cash handling, and POS transactions to ensure accuracy and security. Coordinate purchasing and stock management to maintain optimal inventory levels. Implement marketing initiatives to promote store sales and brand awareness. Assist with training and development programs for team members to enhance their skills. Monitor store budget, control expenses, and contribute to sales management strategies. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and operational procedures.

Skills



Proven leadership experience in retail management or supervisory roles with supervising experience. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers, staff, and vendors. Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, and retail sales techniques. Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff. Ability to negotiate deals with vendors and manage purchasing processes. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Familiarity with marketing strategies, store management software, and administrative tasks. Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence. Pay: $17.44-$23.21 per hour
