Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Lead and supervise store staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency Manage merchandising efforts, including pricing strategies, product placement, and inventory control Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience Conduct recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new team members Oversee payroll processing, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks Develop sales strategies through marketing initiatives and promotional activities Monitor sales performance and implement action plans to meet or exceed targets Maintain store appearance, ensure compliance with safety standards, and manage store cleanliness Utilize POS systems effectively for transactions and inventory management Assist with purchasing decisions and vendor relations to optimize product offerings

Requirements

Proven supervisory or team management experience in retail or related fields Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus Proficiency in merchandising, pricing, sales management, and POS systems Experience with recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and marketing strategies Skilled in cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks with strong organizational skills Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to handle customer service issues professionally and efficiently Knowledge of retail sales techniques, store management practices, and sales management principles Strong negotiation skills with vendors or suppliers preferred Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
