Position Summary:



The

Assistant Store Manager

plays a vital role in ensuring store success by overseeing team performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will assist in scheduling, stock control, reporting, and staff development. Maintaining a clean, safe, and productive store environment.

This role requires strong computer literacy, including the ability to manage schedules, inventory, and basic reporting using Microsoft Office tools and point-of-sale systems.

Key Responsibilities:



Support the Store Manager in all aspects of daily store operations Lead, train, and supervise team members, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to procedures Open and close the store; handle cash, daily reconciliation, and deposits Oversee inventory levels, deliveries, and product placement Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising, and visual presentation Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations Resolve customer issues with professionalism and efficiency Assist with hiring, onboarding, and scheduling Use Microsoft 365 to generate reports, schedules, and internal communications Operate POS and back-office systems; Monitor and track KPIs; provide insights and suggestions to improve performance

What We're Looking For:



1+ years of experience in grocery or retail, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant manager role Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude Proficiency with computers Experience with POS and inventory systems (training provided) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet during shifts Knowledge of hard-discount or warehouse-style retail models is an asset Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team Attention to detail and time management skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
