We are seeking a passionate and dedicated assistant Sommelier to join our dynamic team and contribute to our commitment to excellence. : Responsibilities: Assist the Head Sommelier in managing and maintaining the restaurant\'s wine program. Provide exceptional wine service to guests, including wine recommendations and pairing suggestions. Conduct wine tastings and educate staff and guests about wine selections, regions, and varietals. Assist in the creation and updating of the wine list, ensuring it reflects the latest trends and guest preferences. Maintain the wine cellar, ensuring proper storage, inventory management, and organization. Work closely with the culinary team to develop wine pairings that complement the menu. Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and emerging wine regions. Support the Head Sommelier in organizing wine events, promotions, and special tastings. Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues related to wine service. Qualifications: A strong passion for wine and the hospitality industry. Certification from a recognized sommelier program (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET) is preferred. Previous experience in a similar role or within a fine dining environment is an asset. Excellent knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and wine service techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
