Objective:





The Assistant Site Supervisor will work directly under the leadership of the Field Construction Manager to support the Site Supervisor in managing the construction and scheduling of each home on a day-to-day basis for single family in Calgary and surrounding areas.



Key Responsibilities:




Assist the Site Supervisor in supervision and construction of single-family homes in Calgary and surrounding areas. Monitor trade supplier's adherence to construction schedules. Manage subcontractors on site and foster effective trade and supplier relationships. Responsible for ensuring sites are ready for the next scheduled trade. Aid in conducting customer walk throughs throughout the building process. Maintain a high standard of quality and accountability by conducting inspections both procedural and municipal, throughout the construction process. Conduct on-site quality control inspections throughout construction of the home. Manage job specific schedules to ensure jobs comply with the associated build Thorough review of site and job package Completing labour intensive tasks required to maintain a safe workspace including snow removal, lot cleans for safe access. Perform deficiency repairs, assist with quality control inspections while having the ability to work efficiently and independently. Maintain a safe and clean work Monitor site costs for damages, theft, and trip Understand and implement OH&S safety Efficiently complete all tasks as assigned by the Site Supervisor and Field Construction Manager. Other duties and responsibilities as required

Requirements:




Minimum of 2 year's experience in the construction industry preferable as a site assistant or equivalent. Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under time constraints. Industry related education is an A valid driver's license is CSTS, First Aid with CPR and fall protection training would be an Excellent relationship management skills to support interactions with customers, trade partners, suppliers, and internal staff. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, ). Detailed Team building

Physical Demand Requirements:




VISION - Near and far vision. Some work activities involve the monitoring of processes, objects or situations in the work environment that are far from the worker. Other work activities are performed near the worker. HEARING - Verbal interaction. Work activities involve communication with colleagues on a regular basis. BODY POSITION - Work activities involve combinations and varying degrees of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. LIMB COORDINATION - Multiple limb Work activities are carried out by coordinating the movements of upper limbs simultaneously with lower limbs. STRENGTH - Work activities involve handling load of 10lb but less than 50lb. ENVIRONMENT - Primarily outdoors, in all weather HEIGHT - Ability to work at high levels on ladders, scaffolding and climb

Working Conditions:





This is a field position and will require travel between designated job sites. Work may require occasional weekends and/or evenings.
