The Wood Automotive Group, one of Alberta's largest automobile retailers for over 42 years, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager to join our team at South Centre Volkswagen!

About the role:

This position will support and report directly to the Service Manager and work to support and develop our team while continuing our commitment to customer satisfaction. The Assistant Service Manager position requires a thorough understanding of retail service operations. The successful candidate will have supervisory experience and a proven track record in automotive services.

Duties and responsibilities will include (But are not limited to):

Maintaining superior customer satisfaction and client follow-up Perform administrative tasks such as R.O. close out, monitoring WIP, etc. The ability to develop and implement service team strategies The ability to assign duties to staff while setting clear expectations The ability to lead, motivate and manage the Service Department Ensure staffing levels are adequate Assist with supervision of drive through and office staff Perform duties of the Service Manager, in their absence The ability to create and implement new marketing strategies for continued growth Experience in resolving customer opportunities The ability to review all incoming information and take timely, appropriate action as required. Assisting with forecasting and planning both yearly and monthly goals and objectives. Engaging and meeting with staff on a regular basis, promoting engagement and two-way communication

Qualifications:

Experience with managing and developing employees Minimum 5 years of Service Advisor experience Thorough understanding of retail service operations PBS experience is an asset
