is on the lookout for a dynamic and enthusiastic
Assistant Retail Manager
to join our Bee Supplies team. If you have a passion for customer service and an interest in the beekeeping industry, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As the Bee Supplies Assistant Manager you'll assist the Bee Supplies Manager in overseeing staff, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining our store's excellent reputation. Your role will involve managing daily operations, driving revenue growth, and promoting exceptional customer satisfaction through outstanding service and support.
Customer Service & Leadership
Promote exceptional customer service and coach staff for success.
Supervise and guide staff in handling beekeeping supplies and equipment.
Assist in organizing responsibilities for efficient operations.
Procurement, Ordering, & Vendor Relations
Process, review, and manage purchase orders and stock levels.
Handle back orders and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Coordinate logistics, pricing, and wholesale customer orders.
Inventory & Stock Management
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with year-end reconciliations.
Oversee merchandise displays, price accuracy, and warehouse organization.
Customer Order Processing & Communication
Respond to customer inquiries and manage e-store orders, invoicing, and payments.
Coordinate bee ordering, pickup, and distribution.
Attend industry meetings to stay updated on trends.
Operational & Miscellaneous Duties
Perform store opening/closing, cash handling, and warehouse tasks.
Assist with bee medication and mite control distribution.
Complete other assigned duties as needed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Education & Experience:
Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years' experience in Retail Management & Customer Service.
Skills & Abilities:
Purchasing and inventory management.
Experience using/managing Point of Sale system an asset specifically InfoPOS.
Computer applications including all Microsoft office products.
Experience in the Honey industry and Beekeeping would be considered an asset.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Knowledge of HACCP and Transportation of Dangerous Goods is an asset.
