Assistant Retail Cannabis Manager

About the Role

Holland Daze Brampton is looking for an experienced, hands-on Assistant Retail Cannabis Manager (ARCM) to lead daily operations at a licensed cannabis store in the GTA. This role is ideal for someone who's passionate about compliance, customer experience, and team leadership in a fast-paced retail environment. You'll oversee staff, inventory, regulations, financials, and store performance while actively working on the retail floor.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations

Oversee opening and closing procedures Manage ordering, receiving, inventory rotation, and stock levels Ensure compliance with AGCO and OCS regulations Maintain security protocols for cannabis products and cash Oversee facility upkeep, including repairs, technology, phones, and supplies Log and dispose of expired, damaged, or returned products according to regulations

2. Staff Leadership & Support

Train, schedule, and manage budtenders Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations Address in-store staff issues and lead by example Uphold HR standards, confidentiality, and responsible sales practices Resolve conflicts and support team communication Ensure all staff are trained on procedures and policies

3. Regulatory Compliance

Enforce AGCO rules and company SOPs Monitor inventory tracking systems (Cova preferred) Maintain documentation and purchase records Conduct internal audits and report discrepancies

4. Customer Experience

Handle escalated customer concerns Maintain service standards and store presentation Educate customers within legal guidelines Foster a warm, customer-centered environment Represent company values and brand mission

5. Sales & Performance

Track KPIs and sales performance Monitor near-expiry items and drive sell-through Work with ownership on inventory audits and reporting

6. Financial Oversight

Manage cash handling, reconciliation, and deposits Assist with budgeting and cost control

7. Health & Safety

Enforce WHMIS and workplace safety policies Oversee incident reporting and staff safety training

Qualifications

Cansell Certification (required) Clean police record Eligible for Cannabis Retail Manager License through AGCO 1+ years experience managing a retail team Strong math and financial reporting skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory systems Knowledge of: Cannabis Act Cannabis Control and Licensing Act Cannabis Distribution Act Employment Standards Act AGCO retail standards and local regulations Experience with staff scheduling and inventory management Flexible availability -- days, nights, weekends, holidays Strong customer service, professionalism, and integrity Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and leadership focus Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and store standards

Schedule

Full-time Must be available Monday-Sunday, with evening, weekend, and holiday availability as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$46,000.00 per year
