Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our busy restaurant. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in food service, team management, and hospitality. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a key role in ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and supervising staff to deliver a memorable dining experience. Prior restaurant management or supervisory experience, along with a solid understanding of the food industry, are essential for success in this position.

Duties



Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise and motivate team members, including interviewing and training new staff to uphold service excellence. Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety and handling regulations. Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and health regulations. Support kitchen staff with food prep, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling waste. Support restaurant management in implementing policies, promotions, and service standards. Participate in staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and team development activities.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry; prior restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols. Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Leadership qualities with experience in supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and managing teams. Background in food handling, restaurant operations, kitchen experience, or hotel/hospitality settings is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor are essential for success in this role.
