Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We currently have an opportunity available on our team for a customer focused, energetic Live-in Assistant Resident Manager. This is a part-time role with a rent benefit as compensation, perfect for someone who would like to work a few hours per day as well as cover vacations and time when the Resident Manager is off. The building has a total of 118 units. There is a full-time Resident Manager on site.

What you will do:

Shared on-call duties; Daily cleaning (a few hours each day); Tenant relations, inquiries, and rental calls; Snow shoveling of step/entrances during winter months.

Who you are:

Previous experience in a customer service role; Proven communication skills, both written and oral; Ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision; Previous experience with Property Management industry and/or as a Resident Manager is an asset.
