AECOM Buildings & Places business line is seeking a Project Coordinator for immediate employment in the Kitchener, ON office.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be a member of the Project Delivery Team supporting our Project Managers in coordinating design as well as construction support activities on a variety of building projects primarily within the Technology and Logistics Market Sector.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists the Project Manager with planning and execution of project activities for multi disciplinary building engineering design projects,
  • Coordinates project work with design groups such as Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Storm-water and Landscape Architecture.
  • Plays an active role in records management, budget tracking, and scheduling, and
  • Prepares meeting minutes, reports, and other documents.
  • Attends site visits and Clients\' meeting if required.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

In order to be considered, candidates must possess, at a minimum:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Architecture or Engineering
  • OR College Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology with 2 (two) years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Project Coordinator is an asset.
  • Experience coordinating and preparing design submissions for Site Services Connections and Building Permit approvals
  • Experience working within a consulting engineering business,
  • Must have an understanding of construction and building design fundamentals,
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documentation,
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, MS Project, AutoCAD, MicroStation, prepare word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.,
  • Team player with excellent listening skills; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives,
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency,
  • Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills,
  • Strong organizational skills - ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously,
  • Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills, and
  • Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively\xe2\x80\x8b.
