Dream is looking for an Assistant Project Manager!

Dream's Calgary Income Properties Construction team is currently looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to provide assistance for all stages of our construction projects working towards on time and on budget project delivery.

What will you do?





Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.


Assist the Senior Project Manager and the VP, Construction in tracking projects (5+), coordinating with multiple project team members; Track and report on all stages of each project and provide information in a uniform manner; Set up meetings, take minutes (with action items and dates) and distribute project deliverables; Track project schedules during Development, Transition and Pre-Construction (Project Tracker Report) Concept Development, Preconstruction, and Construction; Follow up on deliverables by consultants, trades and anyone outside of Dream Construction; Review invoices, collect supporting backup, and facilitate approvals; Assist in vendor progress billing, hold back and job cost reconciliations on an ongoing basis; Assist with WIP (Work In Progress) and project cost-to-complete reviews; Coordinate with Property Management, Asset Management, Leasing on items as directed Manage files, copy, and other administrative duties as directed.

What type of experience and skills do you have?

3+ years of progressive experience in construction, design, or development; Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture; Understanding of project scope, including plans, specifications, change orders, and contracts, is an asset; Strong skills in Excel, Word, MS Project and project database management; Experience with scheduling software; CAD experience is an asset; Previous on-site construction experience is an asset; Excellent coordination and multi-tasking abilities; Highly organized and able to perform under tight deadlines and competing priorities; Self-motivated, innovative, and a creative thinker with strong prioritization skills; Proven team player, comfortable in a dynamic environment; Able to take action quickly with accuracy; Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with numbers.
