This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).
The successful candidate will be offered a tenured or tenure-track appointment with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, which is in accordance with the , and offers a comprehensive .
This position is in-person and is located in Edmonton, Alberta at the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy and Kaye Edmonton Clinic.
The position is located on an Alberta Health Services (AHS) site. Compliance with AHS Workplace Health & Safety policies are in effect.
Academic rank and salary will be based on the incumbent's qualifications, experience, and achievements and in accordance with the Faculty Agreement.
Responsibilities:
The School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time tenure track-faculty position in Periodontology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop a viable and productive research program, for which start-up funds will be available. The successful candidate must demonstrate an interest and aptitude for clinical and didactic teaching in periodontology. Time allocation for private practice will be integrated into this appointment.
Qualifications:
Applicants will have graduated from an accredited specialty program and have relevant postgraduate and clinical qualifications in the specialty of periodontics or an equivalent level as specified by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC). Consideration will be given to applicants with a PhD degree and teaching experience in periodontology.
Applicants will have a record of an established research focus with an excellent record of publication in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise graduate students and involve them in their program of research.
