The University of Alberta's Faculty of Native Studies (FNS) is North America's only stand-alone faculty dedicated to the study of Indigenous experiences, histories, and thought. The Faculty of Native Studies of the University of Alberta is seeking an Indigenous scholar for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant professor for an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. This is an open disciplinary search, meaning any candidate from the social sciences, humanities, sciences, or fine arts is encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to scholars with experience in the discipline of Indigenous studies and whose research program engages with Indigenous nations and communities, and their priorities, cultures, experiences, institutions, and knowledge systems.
