SilvaSpan is looking for a driven and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Production Manager

.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Production Manager and will be responsible for assisting the Production Manager with personnel supervision and oversight of production operations.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Production Manager in overseeing production operations, in addition to management of production staff Participate in and supervise shift start-up/meeting Oversee allocation of jobs to production staff Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures Maintain production schedule such that anticipated targets are met Monitor workflow for safety and procedural compliance Respond to safety concerns and implement controls Complete paperwork and documentation as required Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing environment Maintain manufacturing equipment and arrange for repairs as needed Coordinate the assembly, disassembly, and cleaning of manufacturing equipment Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure a thorough understanding of production targets and timelines Other duties as assigned

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail oriented and ability to problem solve Excellent organizational skills and time management Good computer skills Ability to manage a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure Class G driver's license Highschool diploma or GED Basic math skills Strong communication skills Ability to read blueprints Mechanical aptitude Familiarity with woodworking tools Excellent work ethic and attitude Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team Must have the ability to learn quickly Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required Self-motivated with strong organizational skills Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies Experience in lumber and/or industrial environments is considered an asset Forklift certificate would be an asset Knowledge of NLGA SPS1 will be considered an asset Previous experience in a production role considered an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
