Job Description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Assistant Plant Supervisor will be a results-driven, self-starter who is always looking for opportunities for improvement, and has the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

Salary Range- $60,000-$70,000

Assist with overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the plant. Lead the team in providing superior customer service. Ensure the safe and effective operation in the facility Identify and implement Continuous Improvement projects to support objectives. Inventory control. Step in when needed to operate equipment to ensure the product meets customer requirements. Support Branch Manager with daily production related events such as production schedule, planning, staffing, blending schedule, loading, all other daily plant activities. Assist with the preventative and planned maintenance of plant equipment, including participating in the repairs. Other duties as required.

Completion of High School or equivalent. Supervisory skills would be required. Class 3 driver's license is preferred. Operating machinery loader, forklift, skid steer is preferred. Demonstrated leadership ability and strong analytical skills. Strong can-do attitude and growth mindset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Mechanical aptitude and previous experience working in manufacturing or fertilizer operations would be considered an asset. Ability to work variable hours and days during peak season. Previous exposure to an agricultural environment is an asset. Experience with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Word and Excel.
