We are currently accepting applications for a qualified Assistant Parts Manager with experience in the automotive industry at our Airdrie location.
The Assistant Parts Manager's job is to ensure that the store is open/closed on time, is adequately staffed and is on hand to supervise and assist staff with daily operations. Successful assistant managers have excellent customer service and relationship skills and are able to lead by example. They have a positive attitude towards customers and staff and are easily seen as positive and consistent leaders. While assistant managers are well versed in parts person responsibilities, they may also be required to assume cashier, driver or installer person responsibilities. Individuals who can migrate between multiple positions in the company are indispensable to a store manager and usually go on to be successful store managers in their own rite. Daily tasks include regular counter duties, authorizing returns, allocation and de-allocation of stock and special orders, cashier assistance, overseeing stock put away, inventory counts, lost sales and computer errors, change orders, bank deposits and proper cash box procedures. In addition to store opening procedures, assistant managers are usually in charge of store close procedures which include the completion of all daily tasks such as daily returns processing, installer return processing, cashier cash out assistance, cash box procedures, bank deposits and lock up procedures. As assistant managers gain experience, store managers may assign additional duties such as hiring and evaluations, scheduling, outside sales calls, or supervisory and training responsibilities.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years hands on parts experience and or relevant industry qualifications.
