Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Ortho Manager to join our dental lab team and work closely with our Ortho Manager. The ideal candidate will be proficient in producing and quality controlling high-quality orthodontic devices, while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The role also involves working closely with the denture department and crown and bridge department to assist with specialized cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical support:

On the phone, via email and chairside

Train and supervise ortho technicians

Perform higher value/skilled bench work:

Denture clasps. Laser welding, ALF's.

Repair Ortho Cases:

Conduct repairs on damaged devices, utilizing appropriate techniques and materials to restore function and appearance.

Support Denture Department:

Assist the denture department with specialized cases as needed, offering expert advice and technical support.

Secondary Responsibilities: Bench and team support

Quality Control:

Deliver completed cases to the Quality Control for final inspection and perform quality control checks, ensuring each product meets high standards of excellence.

Assign workflow to Ortho technicians:

Prioritize and distribute work within the ortho department

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an ortho technician with a strong understanding of ortho production processes. Diverse understanding of different theories of ortho treatment Deep understanding of TMJ dysfunction and obstructive sleep apnea Extensive knowledge of ortho materials, tools, and techniques Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments Certification in dental technology is a plus but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
