Position Summary
The Assistant Operations and Line Manager plays a key role in advancing the asset management program for the utility and supporting the Operations and Line Manager in the coordination of operations and line crews' activities. This role is a succession plan for the Operations and Line Manager to ensure the long-term success of Nelson Hydro.
Qualifications
Diploma in Electrical Power Technology or a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, including Professional Designation or an acceptable equivalency as a journey person within an electrical trade.
Hold or be eligible to hold a Class B Electrical Field Safety Representative certificate with Technical Safety BC.
3 years of recent related experience in a supervisory/management capacity.
8 years of experience within an electrical utility.
Experience in asset management, equipment condition assessments and computerized maintenance management of transmission, distribution and hydroelectric power generation infrastructure.
Experience managing capital construction projects at generating stations, substations and/or on power lines.
