Overview


We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the store manager in daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a passion for retail management. As an Assistant Manager, you will help foster a positive work environment while contributing to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities



Assist in managing daily store operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Supervise and train staff to enhance their performance and development. Oversee merchandising efforts to maximize sales opportunities and maintain visual standards. Handle cash management duties including cash handling, cashiering, and bookkeeping. Support recruiting efforts by participating in the interviewing process and onboarding new team members. Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate record-keeping for employee hours. Implement effective marketing strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement. Maintain inventory levels through purchasing decisions and pricing strategies. Foster a positive customer service experience by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with the store manager on budgeting and financial planning initiatives.

Experience



Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role is preferred. Strong skills in negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities are essential. Bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly valued for enhancing customer interactions. Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising techniques, and sales management practices is advantageous. Demonstrated ability in training & development of staff members to achieve performance goals. Proficiency in time management, administrative tasks, math skills, and phone etiquette is required. Experience with budgeting, payroll management, recruiting, interviewing, and leadership will be beneficial. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
