Auto Repair Workshop Assistant Manager

to lead daily operations, manage staff, and ensure exceptional customer service and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee

day-to-day workshop operations

, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity Manage and supervise

automotive technicians and support staff

Schedule jobs, allocate work, and ensure timely completion of repairs Maintain

high standards of workmanship, safety, and cleanliness

Handle

customer interactions

, estimates, service explanations, and issue resolution Monitor inventory, parts ordering, and vendor relationships Ensure compliance with

Alberta safety regulations and company policies

Track KPIs such as labour efficiency, comeback rates, and customer satisfaction Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of staff Support business growth through upselling ethical repair solutions and service packages

Qualifications & Experience

3+ years

of experience in an automotive repair environment

2+ years

in a management or supervisory role preferred Strong technical knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and shop operations Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Valid Class 5 driver's licence Red Seal Journeyman certification is an asset (not mandatory) Experience with shop management software is an asset
