:Position SummaryReporting to the Manager, Operations, the Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for the assisting with management, profitability, and day-to-day operations of Gordon Ramsay Steak. Equipped with a demonstrated track record in providing exemplary customer service and a background in the hospitality industry, this individual will consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience and achieve a high level of guest satisfaction. This position assists with ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures, motivating others and leading by example and fostering a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.Key Accountabilities

  • Provide hands on leadership and development to Gordon Ramsay Steak front of house staff
  • Directing the day-to-day activities of the Gordon Ramsay Steak front of house team
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • Assist with maximizing the revenues of our Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse while minimizing front of house operating costs
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with team members, back of house staff and the restaurant management team
  • Develop and cultivate Great Experiences and Memories with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)
  • Assist in contributing to the overall company goals, initiatives, and objectives
  • Manage time and attendance records
  • Manage the performance of front of house team
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and onboarding of team members, and in department meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Qu alifications
  • Minimum 2 years\' experience as food and beverage operations management in a premium restaurant or establishment
  • Post-secondary education in culinary and/or hospitality management or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to obtain a Serving It Right Certification
  • Proven ability of driving the profitability of Food & Beverage operations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and mentor a team
  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet multiple deadlines while maintaining high customer service levels and a positive presentation
  • Proven interpersonal service skills, organization skills to plan time effectively, and work without direct supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy in MS Office required with financial analysis experience an asset
  • The ability to successfully pass a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch
  • Strong working knowledge of Micros and Squirrel systems
Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular office, restaurant or casino environment, standing or walking for long periods of time and non-traditional work hours.
