Are you a highly motivated and customer-focused individual looking for a challenging opportunity in a dynamic retail environment? We're seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to join our team, playing a key role in the daily operations of our retail store.
Key Responsibilities
Skate & Equipment Services: Perform essential repairs and maintenance, including skate profiling, skate sharpening, and helmet repairs, ensuring high-quality service for our customers.
Team Leadership: Assist in managing part-time staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment. This includes merchandising, inventory management support, and upholding store standards.
Sales & Customer Service: Confidently fit and sell hockey equipment, as well as products for other sports carried in our store. Provide expert advice and an exceptional shopping experience.
Point of Sale (POS) System: Accurately operate our POS system for sales transactions, returns, and other related tasks.
Qualifications
Retail Experience: Previous retail experience is a definite asset but not required. We're looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Hockey Knowledge: While a hockey background is not required, it is a significant asset, especially for understanding equipment and customer needs.
Availability: Must be available to work evenings and weekends, which are key retail hours.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform tasks related to equipment repair.
Working Conditions & Schedule
This is a full-time position 40 hours/week.
During the fall/winter season, the typical workweek schedule will likely be from Sunday to Thursday, including a couple of closing shifts each week.
The schedule may be subject to change based on business needs and staffing requirements.
Compensation
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
