Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of GBM Marketing globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team\'s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Champions a client focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Supports the GBM Marketing team to deliver on key marketing initiatives in support GBM\'s goals.
  • Ensures that marketing activities that are undertaken are conducted in compliance with governing regulations internal policies, style guidelines, and procedures, escalating where necessary to ensure appropriate signoffs and approval processes are followed.
  • Works towards outcomes by connecting with key relationships across a network of trusted partners which include the business line management team, Marketing, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Assists with GBM awards strategy including coordinating submissions and amplification of wins across internal and external channels.
  • Assists with content strategy including coordinating content calendar, drafting copy and social posts, managing translations, and distributing content through owned channels.
  • Assists with ad hoc requests from across GBM (advertising, swag, design, invite templates, social media, and branding).
  • Supports Relationship Managers with various marketing initiatives to support the GBM business lines.

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Education / Experience
  • A university or college degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or business administration and/or 3+ years of marketing experience
  • Excellent communication skills combined with effective relationship-building abilities.
  • Understands the finance industry and compliance regulations and requirements.
  • Effectively works autonomously, independently and with a strong ability to meet deadlines.
  • Project management skills with ability to take initiative to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Confident interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with a variety of audiences to discover new points of view
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment that can include varying skills/competencies
  • Conceptual abilities with excellent perseverance to solve problems and adapt solutions across a wide range of challenges
  • Strong writing skills and experience in copywriting
  • Knowledge of creative studio design and production processes
  • Knowledge of marketing disciplines with experience in Marketing Planning, Communications and Branding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite
  • Industry-related designations/courses:
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)
  • Bilingual in English and French/Spanish would be an asset
