About the Role

The

Assistant Manager, Marketing and Communications

is a key implementer, who under the leadership of the Director, is fiercely accountable for supporting on projects and initiatives within integrated Marketing and Communications plans to support achievement of business goals of Everyday Financial Services.


As part of the Everyday Squad team within Culture, Communications and Marketing, you play a critical role in driving business results by connecting prospects/clients with audience-centric solutions and expertise that can help them achieve their financial goals.


Accountabilities

Integrates and delivers strategic squad work:



Contributes to marketing communications plans and activities in support of business growth and strengthening client experience Uses data, client and competitive insights to provide marketing expertise around how and which solutions we leverage to start, deepen and grow relationships Assists in and is responsible for activating all components of a marketing communications plan, including creative briefing & approval, channel confirmation, offer approval/fulfillment, internal communications updates, ongoing client/market research and the tracking of key measures (KPIs) to determine success.

Delivers results:



Supports (and may lead) the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing communications plans. Develop and design together within the squad framework strategic marketing and communications plans to ensure client-centric assets are delivered and deadlines are achieved. Monitors results relative to plans and the overall marketing strategy, highlighting key learnings and optimizing as needed. Assists the marketing team to help identify opportunities and to understand the effectiveness of activities through listening, analysis and reporting. Works within an approved budget and timeline; while delivering on objectives and effectively managing expenditures.

Creates value for clients and stakeholders:



Partners with our business stakeholders, providing expertise on marketing-related activities, as well as audience targeting, key messaging, and optimizing all marketing channels. Relationship oriented: proactively builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders/ partners. Activates cross-organizational stakeholders to successfully implement programs. Growth mindset, proactively seeks and brings forward improvements and new ideas. This role works closely with other members of the Squad in an agile scrum structure.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Undergraduate degree or certificate in Business, Marketing or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years relevant marketing experience (Performance-based marketing experience preferred). Solid foundational understanding of marketing tactics and how to successfully leverage them (from campaign planning/execution to optimizing marketing mix to measuring success). Experience working across media/communication platforms (traditional, digital, social and direct). Ability to uncover insights (customer/stakeholder, brand, category, environment). Client-centric focused, experienced using customer personas, journey maps and research to understand how we can minimize pain points to better meet client needs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong listening skills. Strong project management, team building and collaboration skills. Ability to multi-task in high-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing marketing learning that positively fuels marketing plans and outcomes Working knowledge of Jira and/or agile methodologies is an asset. Financial Services Marketing experience is an asset.
