The Assistant Manager provides clinical and professional leadership. The Assistant Manager participates in the planning and provision of care and identifies issues that have potential or actual impact on patient care and keeps the Health Services Manager aware and up-to-date of any significant events. The Assistant Manager plans, co-ordinates and participates in the care of patients within the unit and hospital. The Assistant Manager acts as a role model and patient care advocate and exhibits team building and leadership skills.
