We are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play an important role in supporting the General Manager in daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of employees. This position requires strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for enhancing the customer experience.

Sudbury Cinemas (Downtown Movie Lounge), Sudbury ON

Position Description:



The key responsibilities of an Assistant Manager are:



Leading and managing a dedicated team of employees by promoting a positive work environment

Providing an exceptional customer experience, including addressing any customer inquiries and/or issues promptly

Handling cash and generating daily and weekly reports

Assisting with creating staff schedules and adjusting film schedules

Assisting with managing digital film including ingesting movies, creating playlists etc.

Assisting with inventory management

Dealing with any technical difficulties that may arise

Required Skills and Competencies:



Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (oral & written)

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (both customer and technical)

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to multi-task; manage and prioritize tasks and activities effectively and efficiently

Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently as well as part of a management team

Cash handling experience necessary

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Drive

Experience with a Library Management System (LMS) and Point of Sale (POS) software an asset

Required Experience:



2 years in a management position in a fast-food, restaurant, retail or similar environment

Preferred Education:



College Diploma in Business or related field

Permanent, full-time, salary

MUST be able to work flexible hours every week, including late nights, weekends and holidays.
