Responsibilities



Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring smooth service flow. Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. Manage food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and food safety regulations. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy and efficiency. Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste. Train new staff members on food handling procedures, customer service protocols, and operational standards to promote a knowledgeable and professional team. Oversee kitchen operations including food production, catering events, banquets, and casual dining services to ensure timely delivery of quality dishes. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations related to food safety, sanitation practices, and workplace safety standards. Support budgeting efforts by monitoring labor costs, sales targets, and overall restaurant performance. Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction and foster positive relationships. Assist in interviewing candidates for restaurant positions to build a skilled team aligned with our service standards. Collaborate with management on marketing initiatives or special events to enhance the restaurant's visibility and guest engagement.

Experience



Proven supervisory or assistant management experience within the food service industry is essential. Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations including food preparation, kitchen management, and customer service is required. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred. Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and staff training demonstrates strong leadership capabilities. Background in fast food or quick-service restaurants as well as fine dining or casual dining environments is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately along with experience in food safety standards (HACCP certification preferred). Prior experience in hospitality management or hotel food service roles will be considered a plus. Strong communication skills combined with the ability to lead teams effectively are vital for success in this role. Pay: $17.85-$33.91 per hour
