TO Live has an exciting full-time opportunity in its Patron & Events Services Department in the role of Assistant Food & Beverage Manager.
The Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage Services supports the daily operations of TO Live's bar and concession services across multiple venues. This role works closely with the Beverage and Concessions Manager to ensure smooth event execution, uphold service quality, and coordinate staff and inventory. The ideal candidate has experience in high-volume environments, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to patron satisfaction and team collaboration.
KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Concession & Bar Operations
Support Beverage and Concessions Manager with daily operations of bar and concessions services during performances, private rentals, and corporate events across multiple venues, ensuring consistent product quality and a high level of guest satisfaction.
Ensure concession stands are fully stocked, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations before, during, and after events.
Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and professionalism across the front-of-house team.
Event Support & Coordination
Support the execution of events by coordinating bar staff, managing beverage setup and logistics, and ensuring high-quality beverage service throughout.
Attend site tours and client meetings as required to support pre-event planning and execution.
Collaborate with the Events team to align beverage service with event expectations and rider requirements.
Inventory & Procurement
Maintain accurate inventory through regular audits, reconciliation, and timely updates in inventory software; investigate discrepancies and authorize necessary adjustments.
Prepare detailed reports on stock levels, usage, and trends.
Cash Handling & Reporting
Enforce strict cash handling procedures, including auditing of deposits post-performance and reconciliation of sales.
Prepare change orders and organize daily deposits for secure finance collection.
Generate daily financial and performance reports as required.
Systems & Administration
Assist in the administration of F&B software systems including Point of Sale and inventory platforms.
Update EBMS (Event Business Management Software) with current event information, service orders, and purchase records.
Support reporting on F&B sales and performance KPIs, using data to identify trends and support decision-making.
Support & Supervision
Assist with the scheduling, training, and supervision of concession/bar and porter staff.
Support a positive, respectful, and engaged team environment across all shifts.
Lead porter operations, including hiring, task assignment, and ongoing oversight.
Other
Any and all other duties assigned by the Director of Patron and Event Services or their designate
Serve as an active member of the Patron and Event Services Management Team, supporting departmental objectives and fulfilling on-the-floor managerial duties during events as required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Smart Serve Certified.
Food safe certification
Minimum of 4 years' experience in the hospitality industry, with an emphasis on food and beverages management.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Explorer & Outlook in a Windows operating environment.
Ability to communicate with employees and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to multi-task and organize.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to move freely and quickly for entire shift.
Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.
Must be familiar with working in a union environment and aware of the working conditions in the Collective Bargaining agreement.
Variable hours of work depending on performance and event schedules
Travel between TO Live venues as required.
