- Full-time hours: 32 \xe2\x80\x93 40 per week
- Starting wage: $20 per hour with 6 month review

- You will greet and assist all guests, giving great customer service with every interaction.

- You\xe2\x80\x99ll care for the cheeses and the space, following our documented procedures.
- You will taste our various products along your journey to build your knowledge and ensure great quality of product sold.
- You\xe2\x80\x99ll receive deliveries, document and store cheese/product, cut cheese and other products and repackage for the shelves.
- You\xe2\x80\x99ll help to keep the shop organized and clean.
- Always ensure all health and safety protocols are followed at all times as well as being sure your team understands company policies and guidelines including consequences of not following them.
- You will get to know your team and encourage personal growth opportunities.
- You have confidence to provide frequent ongoing training while working the floor and leading by example alongside your team.
- A strong ability to manage your time wisely and delegate tasks to grow your team\'s strength and skill.
- Under the direction of the Owners the Assistant Store Manager role is to provide oversight management of daily tasks within the store by providing leadership and direction to the store\xe2\x80\x99s team.
- Assistant Manager duties will also include: weekly inventory, scheduling, employee performance management, daily administration, input for staff hiring and training, facilitating an environment for storewide teamwork, cultivating excellence in customer service, optimizing store efficiency and profitability.
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Sales, marketing or business administration training preferred
- A sincere passion for all things cheesy.
- Customer facing experience in the restaurant or food/retail industries
- Management experience in a retail or restaurant/food environment (minimum of 1 year)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in training development is preferred
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques and customer service principles
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team with the ability to inspire others
- Intermediate math skills
- Basic Computer knowledge: Word/Excel/Google Drive
- Ability to learn quickly and retain new information
- Exceptional personal and interpersonal skills
- Versatility; ready to tackle any challenge inherent in the diverse range of responsibilities.

- WHMIS Certificate (preferred)
- Food Safety Course Certificate (preferred)
- Endurance to exert yourself in a well paced environment up to 8 hours
- Ability to frequently lift up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to frequently grasp knives and cheese wire handles
- Ability to stand/walk constantly for the shift
- Ability to crouch low frequently & to climb ladders occasionally to access stock
- Availability to work full-time with an average of 30 or more hours in a standard work week.
