As a valuable member of the MLSE Catering team, you will support the Manager, Catering Operations, and contribute to delivering championship fan service and event execution to guests and clients during various corporate and social events at RS & e11even. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager, Catering Operations with coordinating staffing levels, event logistics, ordering supplies and ensuring accurate decor for every event.
  • Oversee, lead and mentor the Catering team of supervisors, and staff.
  • Prepare and coordinate set-up outlines, production sheets, and seating plans.
  • Delegate pre and post-service tasks to staff.
  • Ensure all details from the Banquet Event Order (BEO) are met, collaborating closely with the kitchen and client.
  • Confirm systems are in place to allow for the accuracy of services as noted on BEO\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Verify room set-ups are accurate, timely and meet established standards.
  • Supervise the floor during the event/during service; respond to client and guest concerns.
  • Resolve order discrepancies in a calm and professional manner.
  • Ensure closing duties are completed with attention to detail.
  • Document service issues and resolutions.
  • Produce post-event evaluation reports including financial data entry and overall analysis.
  • Attend BEO Meetings, and stay informed of updates via changelog.
  • Assist with administrative functions including employee performance reviews.
  • Communicate details for each event to the event supervisors.
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies.
  • Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Perform other duties as the need arises.


Qualifications

  • Supervisory or management experience in the events industry.
  • Solid understanding and practical knowledge of restaurant business principles and service etiquette.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and work assignments from various sales managers.
  • Able to successfully lead and coordinate multiple events.
  • Effective team management experience.
  • Dedicated and proactive approach toward day-to-day activities and shifting demands.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
  • Shown to perform well under pressure; lead multiple priorities at a time.
  • Ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction.
