Weekend: Every 3rd weekend rotation

Morning shift (eg. 9:00am start)

Evening shift (eg. 2:30 - 9:30pm)

Job description

Plato's Closet Calgary Northeast is a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere specializing in gently used trendy clothing and accessories for young adults. We are at the centre of recycling fashion for teens to young adults that results in cash in their pockets, recycling fashion and saving them tons of cash by selling style at 50-70% off the retail rate.

We are seeking a strong and vibrant individual to lead our team with confidence and is driven to produce results, measured in weeks, months and years.

The successful candidate will have recent and relevant past experience in managing a retail clothing store with a lot of moving parts PLUS:

1. Have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, that demonstrates a keen understanding for the human experience and conveying Plato's Closet brand standards

2. Is motivated, driven to improve day-to-day store procedures, demands results from self and staff; excels in overseeing multiple small-to-medium demands in any given shift by leading by example, delegating respectfully that drives results

3. Lead a team including Sales Associates, Buyers and other roles, from the floor-motivate and teach by example, building up staff through constructive feedback and praise, that drives the individual to grow in a professional and personal manner

4. Implement Plato's Closet store standards, evaluate the execution and response and critically assess for areas of growth for the business. Through this process, regularly assess of store needs, plan innovative strategies, implement new ideas, and evaluate response.

5. Wiling to be trained and execute 1-2 store events monthly, to drive customers in-store, contribute with posts for our social media platforms, evaluate response and contribute to our social media events and growth

6. Have a sense of humour, a sense of self confidence and humility, a sense of style that reflects recent trends and knows what our local community craves in fashion

7. Takes pride in a sparkling clean store, not afraid to command a cleaning schedule and lead by example.
