We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff, managing payroll, and contributing to the overall success of the store. The position requires an individual with proven team management skills, excellent multi-tasking and task management skills and the ability to understand all financial documents relating to the performance of the stores and the ability to continually drive the business forward.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Manage payroll processes accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on budgeting and financial planning to achieve sales targets.
• Assist in discussions of pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing.
• Drive sales by actively engaging with customers and promoting products effectively.
• Participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team that aligns with company values.
• Support training development initiatives to foster employee growth and retention.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment for both customers and staff.
• Training Team Members to provide superior "legendary" customer service.
• Ensuring all standardized recipes are being followed without deviation
• Coaching and developing Team Members on daily tasks.
• Ensure proper sanitation procedures are being followed, with regular follow-up.
• Responsible for all assigned orders and ensuring the order guides are being completed correctly.

• Setting routines for Team Members to follow in order to monitor production and productivity levels.
• Updating and weekly follow up with prep charts in order to reduce waste and continually have full and abundant showcase selection.
• Inventory Management.
• Proper use of company systems which include but are not limited to production charts, routines and waste sheets
• Weekly meetings with the management team to discuss sales and action plans for sales increase
• Monthly inventory of assigned orders, with follow-up of all other departments.
• Checking orders to guarantee accuracy, signing off on invoices.
• Daily follow up with Market Chef and Team Leads to maximize productivity, labour, proper rotation, product costs and order, execution of delivery and weekly sales analysis.
• Management of QB time to manage scheduling and labour budgets.

• Responsible for closing and opening duties within the market.
• Daily follow up on cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Working in the market to make sure everything is full, colorful and abundant for service
• Working with Team Members on promoting and executing the fresh rewards loyalty program
• Work with management team to utilize management information tools and analyze financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in performance.

Qualifications:
• Progressively responsible retail experience
• Supervisory experience
• Experience analyzing financial reports
• Food safe, WHIMIS training and first aid preferred but not required

• At least 1 year of management/team lead experience is required.

Education
