Job Summary:
The Base Area Operations (BAO) Evening Assistant Manager role will oversee all aspects of the departmental functions and employees, including cleaning, roads and parking and snow removal. More specifically, this role will primarily focus on the evening cleaning procedures and operations during winter months, transitioning to day management and operations during summer months.The BAO Assistant Managers report directly to the department Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
Directly supervise the BAO evenings shifts (1.45pm-12:15am) which includes: scheduling of staff, orientation and training, progressive discipline, long and short term planning of operation, maintenance of tools and equipment, ordering inventory, executing daily
meetings. Familiarity with all aspects of the parking and cleaning operation including the operational budget.
Conduct interviews and hiring as needed.
Work effectively with other department's mountain-wide as part of a large and diverse team.
Actively solicit feedback from internal/external guests via Q&A and/or survey's
Report on our Internal Guest Survey and to implement changes in services provided as needed with manager's assistance and direction.
Understand operational procedures and maintenance and parts for all janitorial equipment.
Assist with successful organization of waste/recycling depots and bear-proof bins.
Set an excellent example and strive to improve safety, service and job satisfaction.
Ensure adherence to all operational and safety procedures, resulting in safe and efficient operation of vehicles and other equipment and providing a safe environment for guests and staff.
Showcase strong conflict resolution skills and other leadership qualities.
Show initiative in handling routine matters and quick, thoughtful judgment in emergency situations.
Qualifications:

A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms required.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work under pressure. A keen eye for detail required.

Required to complete a satisfactory criminal record check.
Operating a vehicle is an essential function of this position and will require the applicant to meet the minimum requirements of the WB Driver's Standards Policy - must have a valid BC driver's license and clean abstract.
Preferred:
Post-secondary education an asset.
Proven leadership skills, planning, ability and vision.
Previous cleaning experience and employment a strong asset.
First Aid trained an asset
Mental Health First Aid trained an asset.
The expected pay range is $52,000.00 - $72,592.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
