Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of kitchen operations. As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee all kitchen activities, ensure food quality and safety, and manage staff effectively to create a positive work environment.

Duties

Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations. Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimizing waste. Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain quality and safety standards. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. Conduct interviews for new kitchen staff, assessing skills and fit for the team.

Requirements

Proven experience in a assistant kitchen management role within a restaurant setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and management.
