We are looking for an

Assistant Store Manager

to join our Maple Ridge location at Lougheed Hwy! The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager to ensure efficient daily operations across all departments, including grocery, produce, and meat. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain operational efficiency. The Assistant Store Manager will help shape the overall success of the store by fostering a strong team dynamic and positive customer shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities



Store Operations & Stock Management

Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments, including grocery, produce, and meat. Help with store opening and closing procedures, following cleaning and security protocols to prepare the store for daily operations. Conduct inventory counts for all departments to ensure accurate stock levels. Implement promotional and seasonal sales strategies, setting up proper merchandising and product displays to attract customers.
Staff Management & Customer Service

Assist in hiring and training staff, ensuring employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively. Address customer concerns and provide exceptional service, escalating complex issues to the Store Manager as needed. Monitor customer feedback and collaborate with the store team to improve service and meet customer needs.

Requirements



Minimum 2 years of experience an assistant store manager in produce or grocery retail. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Solid knowledge of food safety regulations, including produce handling, storage, and quality control processes. A customer-oriented mindset with the ability to provide excellent service. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion. Openness to work 6 days a week is an asset. Possession of a valid Food Safe Certificate is strongly preferred.
This is a full-time position, training is provided to ensure the successful candidate is fully equipped to excel in the role. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$67,000.00 per year
