Job Summary:



We are seeking a passionate and experienced

Assistant General Manager (AGM)

to help lead the daily operations of our vibrant restaurant and bar. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a strong background in both

restaurant leadership

and

bar program development

, including hands-on experience in

cocktail bartending

and a deep

knowledge of beer styles, service, and trends as well as experience in private events and in a nightclub or late night environment

.

The AGM will work closely with the General Manager to lead the team, elevate the guest experience, and ensure operational excellence across both food and beverage service.

Key Responsibilities:Operational Management



Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring smooth service, quality, and cleanliness. Supervise and support bar and floor operations, ensuring timely execution and guest satisfaction. Ensure all food and beverage offerings meet company standards for quality, presentation, and consistency. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

Bar Program Leadership



Collaborate with the bar team to

implement seasonal cocktail menus

that reflect current trends and brand identity. Maintain a

deep knowledge of spirits, cocktail techniques, beer styles, draft systems, and pairings

. Train staff on cocktail recipes, techniques, and beer/wine knowledge to ensure knowledgeable and consistent service. Support bar inventory manager, order supplies, and manage cost controls for the beverage program. Drive innovation in the beverage program while maintaining profitability.

Team Leadership & Development



Assist with training of staff Lead by example in delivering high-quality service and hospitality. Mentor team members, provide feedback, and support performance improvement plans. Foster a team-oriented, respectful, and accountable work environment.

Guest Experience



Uphold a guest-first culture by ensuring friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service at every table and bar seat. Proactively resolve guest concerns or complaints to ensure satisfaction. Cultivate relationships with regular guests and bar patrons.

Financial & Inventory Control



Support budget goals through labor management, inventory control, and operational efficiency. Track and analyze bar sales, cost of goods, and promotional effectiveness. Assist in managing vendor relationships and negotiating pricing where needed.

Marketing & Promotions Support



Collaborate on beverage-related promotions, tastings, and special events. Support execution of marketing campaigns and seasonal offerings to drive sales and visibility.

Qualifications:



2+ years of experience in restaurant and bar management, with strong FOH leadership skills. Hands-on experience in

craft cocktail preparation

, bar setup, and menu development. Solid knowledge of

beer styles, draft systems, liquor and wine.

Experience with inventory management and cost control for bar operations. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office tools. Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Experience in a night club or late night high volume environment- including working alongside security, conflict resolution, incident reporting and deescalation

Working Conditions:



Fast-paced restaurant and bar environment with high guest volume. Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods; lift up to 40 lbs as needed. Evening, weekend, late night and holiday availability required.
