We're Looking for an Assistant General Manager to Help Lead Our Team!

Position Overview:

As the Assistant General Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager to oversee the vibrant day-to-day operations of our restaurant. This role is perfect for someone who is deeply passionate about hospitality and has a knack for creating unforgettable customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations including sales, operations, inventory, and staff coordination. Play a pivotal role in achieving sales targets, managing expenses, and driving profitability. Support in maintaining high service standards across all areas including Bar, Front of House, and Back of House, throughout different service times from lunch through to late night. Assist in recruitment, training, and mentoring of staff to align with the strategic vision of Home & Away. Help prepare and review weekly reports for head office, ensuring compliance with financial and accounting procedures.
Qualifications:

Passionate about hospitality with a minimum of 1 year experience in a management role within a bar/restaurant environment. Strong understanding of food and beverage service with an emphasis on craft beer, and cocktails. Demonstrated ability to support a business in growing sales, improving guest experiences, and driving traffic. Excellent communication skills, decision-making capability, and leadership qualities. Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.

Additional Requirements:

Must have a valid Canadian social insurance number. Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Calgary, AB.
