We are seeking a Year-Round Full Time Assistant Equipment Manager. As the Assistant Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for the aiding in the maintenance, operation, and management of the property's equipment fleet in conjunction with the Equipment Manager & Golf Course Superintendent. Planning, coordinating, scheduling, and executing equipment repair and maintenance will be your primary responsibilities along with assisting in the planning of day-to-day tasks and on-going fleet management practices. Additionally, through the direction of the Equipment Manager, you will execute the development, support and monitoring of a leadership team and hourly staff focused on delivering a high level of conditions that meet or exceed member expectations.

The Assistant Equipment Manager will also play an integral role in setting up the newly, fully renovated Turfcare Maintenance Facility.

Responsibilities:

Ensure timely and effective two way communication between members, staff and the rest of the Turfcare Management team Work with Equipment Manager to schedule and complete equipment repair and maintenance as required Effectively address, manage, and resolve hourly Turfcare team equipment concerns and questions Assist with development and implementation of the annual operating and capital budgets for responsibility areas (Equipment Repair & Maintenance) Implement and ensure compliance with OH&S standards as they pertain to the Turfcare operation. Staff management and administration including training employees on the proper use and application of safety equipment (PPE) Immerse themselves in the operation and calibration of spray equipment; participating in the operation if necessary. Maintenance and troubleshooting of said equipment

Qualifications:

Education and/or experience in small engines and diesel engines Education and/or experience with troubleshooting electrical and/or hydraulic systems Demonstrated team player with proven leadership competencies and contributes to creating a respectful, supportive working environment and a place for all to excel and enjoy is considered an asset Previous experience with operation and maintenance of construction equipment Valid class 5 driver's license Knowledge of Golf, including gameplay is considered an asset Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Additional Details:

This position is a Permanent Year-Round Full-time position. Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, and evenings. The successful candidate will work alongside and report to the Golf Course Superintendent.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
