We are currently considering candidates for the following position: Assistant Engineering Manager
This is a hands-on position working within the department whilst assisting the Engineering Manager with administrative duties. We are looking for the individual with not only the right skills but also the right attitude for this role!
Responsibilities:Supervises and assists Shift Operators with hotel repairs, plumbing, hotel rooms, A/C and heating, ice machines, swimming pools, common area deficiencies, lighting, emergency generators, etc.,
Plans and coordinates Knowcross including managing reports. Ensures the work order request system is properly executed and that items are followed up as required.
Assist with assignments and supervises Team Members.
Assists with the planning of preventive maintenance programs including documentation of equipment and guest room preventative maintenance.
Assists with operational problems of equipment, trades, etc....
Assists and conducts routine room and property inspections.
Prepares schedules and assists with payroll.
Assist with inventories of supplies and purchasing.
Attend department meetings.
Must have good communication skills, be organized, detail oriented and resourceful.
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
Ability to partner cross functionally.
Acts appropriately in all emergency situations.
Maintains a professional appearance and interest in providing outstanding service to our guests.
Flexible schedule required.Desirable Qualifications:
Hotel property maintenance experience. Background should include HVAC, Building Trades, Preventive Maintenance and Energy Conservation, or a combination of technical education and experience that provides the skills required for this position.
