Upper Canada Child Care - xe2x80x9cA smile on each childxe2x80x99s facexe2x80xa6every day.xe2x80x9dWe are currently recruiting Assistant Educator to join our Team in Barrie at the following location: Warnica PS.Starting Pay:Assistant $19.61 - $22.41/hour plus Wage Enhancement Grant ($2.00/hr) and Split Shift Premium ($2.00/hr).*Candidates must be available to work a split shift in a before and after school program.Position Type & Required Availability:

• Full-time Split Shift Position (30 hours/week): Candidates must be available to work a split-shift (morning and afternoon) in our Before & After School programs Monday-Friday to be considered.

To work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, and resolve problems. Supports the organizationxe2x80x99s vision, mission, and guiding values.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• A recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
• At least 18 years of age or older due to licensing requirements.
• Health assessment and up-to-date record of immunization as outlined by legislation.
• Up-to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid (training provided upon selection if required).
• Experience with inquiry/play based program design and implementation, and with the use of pedagogical documentation.
• Uses initiative; applies sound reason in solving problems and resolves conflict in a calm, professional manner.
• Proven ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families, coworkers and other professionals.
• Have the physical and emotional stamina to effectively supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces.
• Ability to use computer systems and programs; including Dayforce, and Storypark.
• Engages with the children and provides a positive learning experience.
• Provides a range of care including assisting with meals/snacks, toileting, diapering, dressing, etc.
• Performs general housekeeping and classroom duties. May be asked to occasionally fill in as cook (job description to be provided).
• Fosters the engagement of and ongoing communication with parents about the program and their children. Attends parent and community meetings as needed.
