Role Overview:

We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated person to join our school age programming. Hours will take place from 2:00- 5:00/5:30 pm (afterschool) on days scheduled.

Responsibilities:

Assists Registered Early Childcare Workers and other team members in planning, developing, and implementing, stimulating and developmentally appropriate programming and activities for children ages 6-12. Maintain positive communication with parents as needed. Help Registered ECE's in integrating children with special needs into the program by supporting inclusive practices. Support children's physical needs, as well as ensuring children's dietary and medical requirements are followed. Maintain a healthy and safe environment by cleaning and disinfecting toys, equipment and activity areas and performing housekeeping duties as required (e.g. laundry). Perform other related duties as assigned by RECEs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Up to date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid (training upon selection if required). Experience with children 0-12 is an asset. Some knowledge of child development. Planning and time management skills to assist in completion of program activities, routines, and tasks. Adequate energy levels and ability to meet physical demands of the job. Proven ability to work collaboratively and with other team members. Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
