Assistant Director: Maryveiw Child Care

Position Summary

Maryview Child Care is seeking a positive, reliable and enthusiastic individual to fill a full time, permanent position as the Child Care Assistant Director. The successful candidate will be required to work in partnership with our educators to create an engaging/responsive environment, support children/families/educators in creating and maintaining a positive community and assist in overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, and program planning.

Ideal applicants will have the following:

A minimum of Alberta Child Care Staff Certification Level 2 Early Childhood Educator.

Current Criminal record with vulnerable sector search, CPR and First Aid certification.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Knowledge of Child Care licensing requirements.

An understanding of Flight Curriculum and a passion for implementation.

The ability to adapt and prioritize responsibilities.

Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum.

Communicate effectively with families and staff to build positive relationships.

Team leadership skills, flexible and positive attitude

Help recruit, train, and evaluate child care staff.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and program improvement initiatives.
