YWCA Regina opened a new Integrated Youth Services Hub within the YWCA Regina, Kikaskihtanaw Center for Women and Families. We are currently looking for a dynamic Assistant Director of Youth Programs in the new IYS Hub. Reporting to the Senior Director of Community Programs, the Assistant Director will be responsible for day-to-day management of programming. Ensuring delivery and access to a comprehensive suite of integrated services in an open, inclusive, engaging and strength-based environment. The role of Assistant Director may vary based on the needs of the community and program growth and may include specific projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Working with the Community Programs Leadership Team to oversee the operation of Homebase, an IYS Hub
Managing the Homebase team including recruitment, coaching, performance management, leadership, scheduling and other people management tasks
Actively support the development and coordination of services to address service gaps and promote mental health awareness, positive outcomes in youth, and youth advocacy
Cultivate and nurture positive professional relationships which may include managing and expanding community partnerships and collaborating with outside agencies.
Lead the team in providing programming that is meaningful and have an impact for youth and families
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required as well as evaluation of staff and programming
Create and foster a workplace culture consistent with the overall mandate of YWCA Regina and Saskatchewan IYS
Contribute to provincial-wide initiatives to advance the aspirations, purpose and values of YWCA Regina and IYS
Qualifications:
Leadership experience, staff coaching and development
Previous experience providing administrative support or managing youth programing or centre
Clinical experience with youth is an asset
Demonstrated competencies in understanding cultural diversity and collaborating effectively with individuals with various cultural backgrounds
Strong understanding of youth development, mental health, and trauma-informed practices
Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
