plays a key leadership role in the Sales & Marketing Department, supporting the Director of Sales & Marketing in the execution of the hotel's commercial strategy. This position is responsible for driving top-line revenue through effective sales leadership, team development, and business generation. The ADOS oversees a segment of the sales team, manages key accounts, and contributes to the hotel's sales planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in developing and implementing the hotel's annual sales plan.
Lead and manage assigned market segments (Corporate, Group, SMERF, Government, International, etc.) to maximize revenue.
Collaborate with Revenue Management to develop competitive pricing strategies and optimize business mix.
Identify business trends and opportunities, and proactively adjust sales strategies to meet or exceed goals.
Team Management & Development
Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management to Sales Managers and Coordinators.
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Set individual and team goals, track progress, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on accountability and results.
Client Relationship Management
Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts to secure repeat business and customer loyalty.
Conduct high-level client meetings, site inspections, and contract negotiations.
Represent the hotel at major industry events, trade shows, and client functions.
Resolve complex client issues and provide escalated support to the sales team as needed.
Operational & Administrative Duties
Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and forecasts.
Monitor and analyze sales KPIs, productivity, market conditions, and competitor performance.
Ensure CRM systems (such as Delphi or Opera S&C) are properly maintained with accurate and up-to-date information.
Work cross-functionally with Revenue, Catering, Events, and Front Office teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of group and transient bookings.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive sales experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Proven track record of success in driving sales performance and exceeding revenue targets.
Strong knowledge of the Toronto airport market and relevant feeder markets is a plus.
Experience using hotel sales platforms such as Delphi, Opera Sales & Catering, and STR reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
