The Assistant Corporate Controller Challenge in a few words
: We are looking for an Assistant Corporate Controller to join our Finance team who will report to the Corporate Controller. The Assistant Corporate Controller will work in proximity with the Corporate Controller to ensure the efficiency and quality of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s financial accounting, monthly and annual reporting and control functions. We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in financial accounting and corporate responsibilities. This position will allow the candidate to be involved in a variety of subjects in a growing and challenging environment. Your contribution in this role: Oversee the monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting closing process, including:

  • Ensure financial statements accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards;
  • Coordinate the global month-end process;
  • Lead and review the monthly consolidation of financial reports;
  • Analyze and review the financial statements of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s entities to ensure the accuracy of the monthly financial reports;
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase its efficiency;
Take part in the corporate financial accounting function, including:
  • Analyze and document complex accounting treatments such as unusual revenue recognition, purchase price allocations, non-recurring transactions, etc.
  • Identify and analyze accounting differences between the subsidiaries and the Group\xe2\x80\x99s accounting rules and ensure the differences are accurately accounted for;
Participate in the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls;
Other tasks will include:
  • Manage and coordinate treasury including plan cash needs at corporate level as well as at subsidiary level;
  • Participate to the preparation of the annual financial statements;
  • Coordinate and prepare the annual financial audit and act as the point of contact for the North American audit teams;
  • Participate in the Group\'s annual insurance renewal process;
  • Coordinate programs relating like royalties and volume rebates;
  • Support the Corporate Controller and VP Finance in ad hoc initiatives.


Qualifications
The ideal candidate in a few words:
  • Hold a professional accounting designation (CPA);
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in a multi-national, multi-currency company;
  • Strong technical knowledge of ASPE, IFRS an asset;
  • Experience in meeting and adapting to new accounting and/or legal requirements;
  • Experience with consolidation an asset;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Ability to adapt and grow in a changing business;
  • Ability to multi-task continuously;
  • Ability to work independently and enjoy problem solving;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel ;
  • Experience with ERP, Microsoft D365 an asset;
  • Bilingual - Fluent in English and French. Spanish is an asset.
