WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?



Assistant Coordinator, Event Operations





Reporting to the Manager, Operations, this position will support the National Bank Open Operations team. Responsibilities include assisting with parking, catering, and clothing operations for NBO as well as assist in supporting the volunteer program which consists of over 1500 volunteers.

Operations

Assist with the organization and setup of all National Bank Open event and tournament operations areas, ensuring they have adequate equipment and supplies Assist in the planning and processing of accreditation for volunteers, staff, sponsors, suppliers and VIPs for the National Bank Open Assist with the organization, inventory and distribution for all National Bank Open clothing Assist with the coordination of the volunteer clothing sale during the National Bank Open Assist with the organization of accommodation for Operations staff and Volunteers during the National Bank Open Assist in the planning and setup of the National Bank Open transportation and parking program, including shuttles, player vehicles, parking passes and HONK codes Assist in coordinating player services assets, including the gifting program Assist in ordering, distributing and setting up the required signage for the National Bank Open's Operations and Volunteer needs Assist with organizing the tournament setup for Committees, ensuring they have adequate equipment and supplies Assist with the coordination of setup for all pre-tournament Operations and Volunteer events/meetings Assist in coordinating on-court ceremonies, including run of show, tickets, parking, etc Work with other departments to support pre-tournament National Bank Open events, such as the Sponsor Summit, Player List Announcement, Draw Ceremony, Opening Night Events, Unmatched Conference and more Assist with the tear-down process and packing up of all Operations areas post event

Catering



Organize food and drinks for all pre-tournament Operations and Volunteer events/meetings Assist in ordering the catering requirements for all National Bank Open Volunteers and Operations staff Assist with the delivery and setup of Tennis Canada internal catering orders Assist with food and beverage tracking and inventory during the National Bank Open
Assist with post-tournament catering pickups and tear down

Volunteers



Assist in the setup and coordination of the Volunteer fairs, Ball crew tryouts, new Volunteer orientations and Volunteer package pick-ups Assist in the distribution of virtual volunteer tickets and HONK parking codes Attend all Committee Head meetings
Assist in the organization of the volunteer party setup and operations

Other



Attend pertinent tournament operations meetings Assist with any other activities or tasks that may be assigned Submit a final report after the tournament including suggestions and feedback

WHO YOU ARE?



Good communication skills, both written and oral Effective time management, organization and computer skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment The flexibility to work as required within the time commitment requirements necessary for special events

WORKING CONDITIONS



Fixed term contract starting April 20th to August 21st, 2026 On site/hybrid Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm Some evening and weekend work will be required leading up to and during the National Bank Open presented by Rogers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



Some physical work (ex. packing and lifting boxes) may be required.
