Assistant Coordinator (Walking Stick) Part-Time - Evenings and Weekends
Oshki-Giizhig Inc. is an Indigenous-based non-profit organization. Our vision is a healthy community built on Indigenous journeys towards wellness. Strengthened by cultural practices and traditional teachings, supporters will assist in restoring balance to individuals and the community affected by trauma and violence.

Key Responsibilities:
Support staff to ensure the program has the resources needed for daily activities.
Connect with participants regularly by phone, social media, and in person to offer support.
Work closely with Support Mentors, Coordinators, Assistant Coordinator and other staff to keep communication strong and respond to any needs or crises.
Escort participants in the community and help them engage in meaningful activities.
Support participants in building life skills such as budgeting, reading, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships.
Work as part of a team to ensure participants feel valued and supported.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in a healthcare related field, social justice, Indigenous studies, addictions, health related and/ or a combination of pertinent experiences in these areas. Experiences with cultural activities and understanding of Indigenous concepts of care and support. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with healthcare providers, staff, and external agencies.
Additional Requirements:
Criminal Record Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check. Driver's Licence and access to transportation.

Hourly Wage:
$24.66-$28.88
Schedule for this position will be Wednesday, Thursday Friday 3:30pm -8:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (28 hours totaly weekly)
